19/10/2016, Jayapura (ANTARA News) - Minister of State-owned Enterprises (BUMN) Rini Soemarmo said she is looking for potential investment projects in Papua by the ministry. "We are considering building a hotel in the province," Rini said here on Wednesday. She said there are works to be carried out in Papua by BUMNs such as the traditional Mama-Mama market to be completed by the end of this year.
"Hopefully the project could be completed by the end of 2016 in line with instruction of the president," Rini said. When asked about state-owned plantation company, PTPN II, which stopped operation on land problem, Rini said discussion is being held on it to find a solution.
"Soon the company is expected to be able to resume operation; possibly through cooperation with the provincisal administration of Papua," she said. Jokowi said earlier that construction of the Mama-Mama market must not be delayed as the market was one of the project he promised to build during his pre-election political campaign in 2014.
